Renowned New York City singer/songwriter Lach, the legendary founder of the Antifolk movement, will be bringing his groundbreaking acoustic style back to the UK for a two-week tour May 18-31. The tour will include seven shows double-billed with UK songwriting phenom Neil Halstead whom you may well know as being a member of Slowdive, as well as the henchman of Mojave 3. Halstead has also enjoyed a successful solo career, being described by the NME as like Syd Barrett if hed ever set foot on a surf board. (Full tour itinerary follows below)

It's been a year since Lach's latest album The Calm Before was released thus freeing Lach to stray from the "play the hits from the album" dictum.

Says Lach, "Yeah, I'm calling it the "Box of Lyrics" tour as I'll be doing different sets every night culled from my five releases over the years as well as new songs from the upcoming albums. I'll have over 75 songs ready to go and I quite often make up a few songs at each show as the mood hits, the box of lyrics is my own head!"

2/9/08- New review in for The Calm Before:
"Ive always thought it was impressive if an artist could keep my attention alone with a guitar. I know this album does have other people playing on it, but its clearly antifolk trailblazer Lach at the forefront. Think Bob Dylan. Only more punk-rock influenced. And more audible."- Ben Rodriguez- TLChicken.com
